For SS/2010 Daniel Palillo offers more of what he does well with strong prints and layered pieces. This time though, he has opted for a more subtle use of colour (compared to his FW/09/10 collection) alongside his staple black and white that I find much more fitting to his aesthetic. Also, new shapes have been added by creating some more fitted pieces alongside his uber-sized silhouettes. Overall it's a strong collection and a progression for the Finnish designer.

Katie Eary's collection was shown during the MAN presentation at London Fashion Week. Though it's said to be influenced by William Burroughs novels Naked Lunch and Junky I can't help but think of the cover of JG Ballard's Atrocity Exhibition. In any case, it's a very inventive collection and if this is what she's producing a year after graduating I can't wait to see what she does in the future.

I'm seriously looking forward to the new season of Skyward. Annika Berger's designs combine nature with the city and have a heavy emphasis on prints. The silhouettes are generally oversized and sometimes offer disguises be it fringes that cover the face or masks on the hoods of sweatshirts. Her designs are imaginative and forward thinking, offering something new and different but still adaptable to ones wardrobe. Until the collection hits stores, these pictures are from an exhibition she did with friends at Röhsska, the Swedish Design Museum. The idea was to capture the feeling of the Swedish city Gothenburg.

Rad Hourani will be coming out with his second line this November. With a price range of $100-$400 the pieces are more affordable while still staying true to his aesthetic. He achieves this by using less luxurious fabrics, denim and jersey instead of cashmere and leather. The zipper-slit knee jeans are what I have my eye on but really everything looks good.
